The irish Motorsport family was shocked after the accident at last weekends Cavan rally. We have lost two outstanding members of that family in Joe Lane and Caroline Cleary. Our thoughts and wishes go out to their families and loved ones at this difficult time.
Joe was a fantastic photographer, a great father and an all round gentleman. He attended many hillclimbs over the years and will be sorely missed.
Caroline was a very active member of Wexford Motor club. She has helped out at numerous events including the Wexford hillclimbs. She was always helpful to competitors and willing to help out in any way with a smile. She was a great example and her absence will leave a hole difficult to fill.
Funeral arrangements for Joe Lane are as follows. Reposing at the family home in Kilcolgan today Tuesday and removal tomorrow Wednesday for 12pm mass in Clarinbridge church.
Funeral arrangements for Caroline Cleary are as follows. Reposing at her brothers house no 2 Bellview Court, The Avenue, Ballyhougue from 12 o’clock Wednesday, May 30th. Removal from the house on Thursday for 11 o’clock mass at Barntown church with burial afterwards.
