The 2024 Alekto Irish hillclimb & Sprint championship will be having a championship launch on the Sunday 18th of February in Mondello park.

The commission will be there all day and would like to invite everyone to call down for a chat.

we have a new junior’s class for 2024 and a few small changes to some rules.

We will have cars on display for anyone looking a closer look at some hillclimb cars.

There will also be a trackdays.ie track day on all day for anyone wanting to test their cars for the 2024 season.

Billy White will be there all day helping anyone out with filling in a performance factor for their car.

The commission would like to get as many saloon cars as possible to complete a performance factor draft in 2024 to help guides the new class structure for 2025 and onwards.

The performance factor is a unique way of dividing up cars for classes. It has been a great success in many countries across Europe. Our aim is to reduce the number of classes in the championship and make it far for everyone. Sounds impossible, but it has been the case in many countries that have adopted the performance factor as a base for class structure.

Above is a guidelines to the new class structure for possibly 2025 and links to the FIA Performance factor website.

You can fill in the online form as many times as you like for free and get a PF number, witch will indicate what class you will be in. you can make changes to your car to change what PF number you get to ( example: putting a rear wing on or off your car may move your car into a different class)

To fill in a PF form you will need some measurements of the car along with weight of the car and the size of some engine parameters.

If anyone would like to bring there car along to the championship launch on the 18th of February, Billy White will be happy the do all the measuring of the car including weight and help fill in the form.
